May 4: Cambridge and Prepping for Marrakesh & Barcelona

My time abroad is winding down: I will be on a flight home to the US in 11 days! I can't believe it - life moves too quickly! While I'm definitely ready to go home, I'm also excited to make these last 11 days count (I leave for Marrakesh and Barcelona tomorrow!). Today, I went to Cambridge on a final day trip with fellow BC Londoners. Here it is in pictures and captions:

Cambridge was a very nice place. We had really strange weather (rain...and sun....at the same time), but overall it was a nice visit to a historical university. Like Oxford, Cambridge is full of "colleges" (basically, dormitories that you stay in for your time there as a student...kind of like the houses in Harry Potter) and the "university" is the actual classrooms/teaching establishment. It was a fun day...
I thought Cambridge is quite pretty (perhaps my sister Bridget should apply for college...). It was a nice town to walk around in at least.
This is King's College, which was just stunning architecture. It has an incredible "chapel" (Really, it feels like a cathedral) too.
Trinity College, where students try to re-enact this infamous Chariots of Fire scene by running around the courtyard on the flat stone.
King's College "chapel". Absolutely incredible stonework.
The King's College courtyard. Not a bad place to live for a few years of university, huh?
Look at the "chapel"! It's insane! That thing is massive! Also, I took this picture from a boat... I went "punting" with some friends.
Katie, Dave and I enjoying our "punting" experience. It's not as hard as it looks to balance up there, but steering the right way can sometimes prove challenging. This was easily the highlight of the day. Even if all I could think of was this annoying (and racist) commercial the whole time.

Cambridge was a lot of fun. It was great seeing all of the BC Londoners one (probably) last time. Tomorrow, I fly to Marrakesh for 3 days and the fly to Barcelona for another 3. I will be sure to blog (one of my last!) when I get back from my trip in about a week with pictures and details.

Til then - Cheers!
