Jan 17: Picadilly Circus

Piccadilly Circus!
Gerrard's Corner!
Hey look - Denzel!
Today was a good day and an even better (actually, pretty incredible) night. During the day, I had a total of 6 hours of class - 2 lectures and 3 tutorials (one lecture was 2 hrs). By the time I was done at 5pm, I was ready for some fun, so Katie and I decided to go to Piccadilly Circus, the "Times Square of London". It was a great decision for a number of reasons.

First, we walked around and enjoyed the lights of the evening. We even saw a star - Denzel Washington! - who happened to be in town ready to premiere the movie "Flight" here in the UK. Not a bad start!

Next, we ate a great Chinese restaurant in Chinatown - Gerrard's Corner. It was one of the best Chinese food meals I've had (crispy beef in chilli sauce for me!) in a while!

M&Ms London!
The Beatles in Cool Britannia!
Afterwards, we walked around some more, visiting the M&M's London Store (which was...well...sweet) and Cool Britannia, a British tourist store that was quite entertaining!

The Tube, from Piccadilly Circus.
Finally, we got back on the Tube and went back to our housing - what a great night!

Sorry to keep this post short - I have to get up early (9am) for a tutorial session in Advanced Economic Analysis. Feel free to inbox/message me any questions. I really had a great day today! Hopefully tomorrow will be good as well!

Til then - Cheers!
